Mayhem can happen, and they want to be there to help.

Guy pretends to be a raccoon

Yes, I feel it is successful due to the humor. It's funny and off the wall which makes it memorable.

Yes, the commercial keeps things simple which is something apple is known for and explicitly shows just how thin the macbook air is.

At the end of the commercial, the friends meet up and ask where their other friend is but because he is a ford owner he did not survive.

Yes, the commercial openly takes a stab at fords in a comedic way and tries to show that Chevy's can survive pretty much anything.
